Atlantic City Man Pleads Guilty to Drugs, Weapons Charges

MAYS LANDING- Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced on Thursday that an Atlantic City man had pleaded guilty to weapons and narcotics charges.

Courtney Tiggett, 37, pleaded guilty to several charges:

  • First-degree Maintaining a Narcotics Production Facility
  • Second-degree Possession of a Handgun for Unlawful Purposes
  • Second-degree Certain Person Not to Possess a Firearm
  • Fourth degree Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine.

On March 6, 2018, an Atlantic County Grand Jury returned a 29-count indictment against Tiggett. On October 25, 2017, Tiggett’s apartment at 457 N. Connecticut Ave, Atlantic City, was searched by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Atlantic City SWAT team where items were seized including suspected heroin, a loaded semi-automatic handgun, and various drug paraphernalia used to manufacturer of CDS.

Sentencing is scheduled on September 27, 2019
